The SpotLyte Difference
SpotLyte Behavioral Health is more than a traditional mental health practice. Patients receiving support from SpotLyte can do so on an individual 1:1 basis with a therapist or through a care team-based approach.
1:1 or Patient : Provider based traditional therapy is just that. Each individual, couple, family or group is matched up to a provider with the frequency of visits determined by the overall needs of the patient. Between appointments, patients rely on themselves and their support networks to navigate life’s daily challenges that impact overall health and wellness.

In the care team-based approach, each patient is matched up with a care team, in addition to their Therapist. The responsibility of the care team is to identify life’s challenges that may or do impact a patient’s overall health that may not be uncovered or discussed during therapy or doctor visits.
Challenges such as management of medications for multiple issues, appointment scheduling, insurance coverage, food insecurity, transportation challenges are just a few examples of the areas our care team supports patients in. SpotLyte believes that mental health stability and happiness is not achieved alone. It takes a team to truly identify when and where support is needed in your daily life and then to provide that support.

John O’Bell, LPC
I am a certified counselor for ten years and have worked with individuals and couples for over twenty years as a spiritual counselor. Primarily, I have worked with people who are suffering emotional distress due to family issues, anxiety, depression, or complicated grief. I am always in learning about the meaning of events for individuals and interested in creating an opportunity to voice their issues and concerns, Giving people the emotional space to express their concerns helps us design treatment options so that together we can diminish ineffective patterns of coping with life stressors. Often, people need to voice their spiritual concerns as well, to which I can speak from my experience as a spiritual pastoral counselor. In sessions, individuals with a spiritual focus to their issues can begin to gain new insights and clarity into their personal spiritual journey. My hope is that we can journey together to learn new insights to lead more meaningful lives!

Debra Monserrat
Hi! My name is Debora Monserrat. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I came to United States for the first time in 2000. Back then I met my former husband, but let’s not talk about that now! I had always enjoyed psychology and medicine when I was younger and when I decided to resume college, I wanted to be able to combine both if I could.
While I was taking classes for my associate, bachelors and NP school, I was also raising my 2 children who now are both teenagers (I can’t believe how time flies). I became a nurse in 2014 (seemed endless!) and while I was deciding between pursuing family medicine and psychiatry, I found myself ending up inclining towards psychiatry as my medical patients would tell me more about their psychological issues instead of what they initially were seen for. I was able to learn through my patients’ experiences how the brain would have an impact on their medical symptoms and vice versa, yet only a few were able to recognize or ask for help to a mental health provider. Therefore, I was a psych nurse since then and until 2018 when I finished my Psych NP Program at DeSales University at Center Valley, PA. Also during that time I worked as a Per Diem Case Worker in Behavioral Health, and was teaching psych rotation for nursing students as well.
As a NP, during my first year I started working in the outpatient setting and then I decided to return to the inpatient and consultation setting. At home or during my free time I like to work out, cook homemade food (If I have the time), spend time with my kids, friends, and travel whenever is possible.
I am looking forward to working with you and establish a positive and supportive teamwork.
